"ugh the whole backblaze situation has really got to me. They are slimey and greasy af. Basically they have gotten everyone (including me admittiedly at one point) to not recommend seagate and here's why. They buy refurb drives that have thousands of hours allready on them they run them thru environments that are janky and not anywhere close to real datacenters. Rough and improperly cooled and maintained. They want higher profits. For a while they were even running on consumer grade drives. They then doubled down on getting seagates and proceeding to abuse them. Slimey af I feel pretty fucked"
