"You dont realize how lame new cars have become until you drive an old Land Cruiser left over from Yemen. Im driving a diesel land cruiser for work that was left here when dudes drove out of Yemen. The thing is old like 2005 with a CD player old. Its done overland missions hasnt been treated well has inhaled God knows how much desert sand and dust in XX years paint fading from XXX degree heat upholstery torn and stained from gear. Theres no safety sensors no backup camera just a fold down tailgate and cigarette burns on the passenger seat from some local fixed smoking on a mission years ago."

"Reading on the Dutch government seizing control of Nexperia and the part on Serbia standing up for itself stood out. I don't know how to play that yet but reminds me of Felix Somary writing how he recommended investing in U.S. and Switzerland to someone before WWII and they reacted with shock at Switzerland saying it was a backwater country where the family went for summer vacations. No one would say that about Switzerland now. Point being I'm trying to stay open to the idea of countries choosing the hard right and standing up for themselves as trade wars intensify for the future"
