"We have a drip coffeemaker that we use on the weekends sometimes. Same with the french press. Nobody has ever bought a single serve machine for the taste. Not a single person. It's about convenience and those who prioritize that will stick with it. My advice gets them the best cup possible (imo) out of that kind of machine. This wasn't in that post but the quality of the machine MATTERS. A $XX Walmart special isn't going to produce the same result as a $XXX commercial unit. The higher end machines give you brewing options - temp flow etc. that the cheaper machines can't and you'd be surprised"
