"Respectfully yes we do. Heres how I see it: Bitcoin is not a store of value because it is highly volatile. Its not a currency either as it doesnt meet all the commonly accepted criteria its not yet widely adopted and its value is not stable over time. Bitcoin is however an asset and an investment. Its possible that Bitcoin is one of the greatest monetary inventions humanity has ever created well have to wait and see. I dont think its possible for those categories to fully overlap even with the right asset because a currency a store of value and an investment are by definition three distinct"

"The comparison isnt relevant gold and Bitcoin belong to different categories. Gold is a store of value while Bitcoin is an investment similar to Nvidia Microsoft Apple Alphabet Amazon Meta Broadcom Tesla Berkshire Hathaway JPMorgan and others. Bitcoin isnt money simply because it can be transferred easily. Pricing bread in gold actually makes sense as it makes golds value more apparent. Of course you wouldnt pay for bread directly in gold youd convert just enough gold into fiat currency and then buy the bread"

Since Bitcoin has no intrinsic value the only way to drive up the price is to encourage everyone to buy and never sell. Thats not how it works with stocks. A stocks price might fall if its P/E ratio is high but it wont drop below a reasonable minimum P/E"
