"Manchester United shirt history. In 2001 Umbro produced their last offering as kit suppliers. They came up with the idea of a reversible shirt with a white 2nd shirt that could be turned inside out to a gold 3rd shirt. The players shirts however were not reversible. Umbro issued two new shirts A red Home and dark blueish almost purplish and red 3rd shirt.
