There are reports of rising COVID-19 transmission globally, with Denmark, Latvia, and parts of the US experiencing high or very high transmission levels. The US has seen a significant increase in transmission, with the CDC's wastewater data update showing the steepest week-over-week increase since the delta wave in 2021. However, concerns have been raised about the accuracy and transparency of the CDC's reporting, with some data appearing to be re-categorized or no longer available.

"I am worried his disinformation is going to get people killed or disabled. He and a couple others are spreading these myths about novavax as some kind of super vax. Its effectiveness data are on par with Pfizer/Moderna but lower side effects. A lot of people are becoming convinced they will have much more enduring protection than what they are likely to see in reality. "This is my qualitative gist-level interpretation of wastewater SARS-CoV-2 levels in the Europe. The key message is that transmission is high across Europe. There are no international standards for wastewater analysis so these are very rough comparisons.
