"To expand on why I believe the end of 2026 through 2027 will be the time of economic reckoning we must look no further than OpenAI (a proxy for a general trend magnified much larger across economy). OpenAI's cash game: Intakes $200B+ (recent raises like $40B Series F $100B Nvidia). Expenditures $8B burn in 2025 $14B losses in 2026 $450B infrastructure through 2030. My estimate is that OpenAI will be forced to raise more funds to meet obligations in one to two years. If they are successful because OpenAI has seen through the vision and AI has delivered on promises the world's economy is good."
