Cal has largely been used as a downfield threat in the Steelers passing scheme this year when hes been in and before his injury teams were largely play 2-high coverages vs. the Steelers offense (taking away the downfield passing concepts) & Rodgers was playing smart and was throwing underneath a lot. Did you know before his injury Cal actually led the Steelers in downfield completions (even ahead of DK) Now that teams are likely to play more 1-high moving forward to try & stop PITs jumbo personnel looks that should help open up more opportunities for Calvin moving forward."

The issue with the Steelers defense isn't as much 'predictability' as it was a disconnect between what PIT's plan was vs. what their personnel was actually capable of executing and then a failure to make the proper adjustments once their initial plan clearly wasn't working. "This might sound a bit counter-intuitive but I think the best way to help out the Steelers pass rush moving forward is to actually blitz LESS than they are right now. Right now the Steelers are one of the league's heaviest blitzing defenses because they love to run 'man free' coverage which is a 5-man blitz look with 1-on-1 man coverage across the board with a deep post safety over the top.
