"There was a brief moment when AI companies could have positioned generative tools as a liberation from Hollywoods 100-year monopoly (Hollywood the industrial complex not Hollywood the collection of world-class artists) but the tech companies blew it. Now an entire generation of artists and a lot of their fans hate AI. Having spent nearly a decade in both worlds its painful to watch how badly that opportunity was squandered"
