"🚨 UPDATE: Despite our earlier report suggesting otherwise it has now been confirmed that the drones acquired by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) are Bayraktar TB2 units the same model procured by MNDF in 2024 from Turkish manufacturer Baykar. The Bayraktar TB2 is a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) UAV widely used for reconnaissance surveillance and precision-strike missions across multiple countries. The drones are currently undergoing testing at Gan Airport Addu City where MNDF is developing a dedicated drone operations base. However MNDF has not yet released any official"
