"It's pretty obvious why Blackrock are going to develop their own tokenised blockchain instead of using an existing store of value like Bitcoin. If the world stage need to freeze assets due to sanctions or criminal activity they can very well do this using their own blockchain. Bitcoin doesn't give them the ability to do that.
