"@RasSonderriis It's not Eritrea's pride but successive Ethiopian regimes' irredentist and expansion ambitions. Abiy disregarded what he signed in 2018 and instead went for his 'restoring Ethiopia's pride' to fulfill what he thinks is missing: red sea port. So use the 'pride' where it fits"

"Well if it weren't for the US-assisted TPLF invasion in 1998 & years of US sanctions then Eritrea would've been where it aspired to be. The dream is still alive and it will happen. Btw ports don't only serve landlocked countries but for all those who want transit of goods and connecting shipments.and our ports would rather not serve Ethiopia unless the irredentist mentality stops. 😀"

"If the PP (aka the Pathetic Party) were honestly looking for reliable access to the sea then Ethiopia was positioned to make a great deal with its five coastal neighbors. But the campaign has gone beyond that and it revealed the true intention of Abiy's agenda: targeting Eritrea's Red Sea by revisiting nonexistent historical references to the extent of delegitimizing Eritrea's independence. This wicked mindset is the reason the HoA is in constant instability"
