"I know you mean well but respectfully you don't know my children and it was via my experience I am coming from. They are literally not reading the text. I can tell you this because when I ask them what happened in the game they can remember a few key action sequences but nothing of the story itself when voice acting is enabled. When it's games with text only and I ask them when they are done they can tell me all these exact story details. So you tell me are my children subconsciously reading and paying attention or are they zoning out I'm not talking about X year olds here. My children are 10"

My point about this was my kids and myself tended to read more while having fun when we didnt have voice acting. Learning naturally rather than forcing it with instruction.
