Theyd use a quantum computer to break the traditional signature algorithm like ECDSA that is used to verify the bootloader and firmware for all hardware wallets of a specific model not just yours. If they crack the manufacturers private key using QC they could create malicious firmware sign it with that key and trick users into installing this fake firmware. If someone installs it their wallet wont recognize its not authentic because its signed with the right key and looks totally" [X Link](https://x.com/Lahannin/status/1982206637998846344) [@Lahannin](/creator/x/Lahannin) 2025-10-25T22:04Z XXX followers, XXX engagements "@Bitcoin_A_Club" [X Link](https://x.com/Lahannin/status/1982012913092063529) [@Lahannin](/creator/x/Lahannin) 2025-10-25T09:14Z XXX followers, XX engagements "More info from @Trezor knowledgebase:" [X Link](https://x.com/Lahannin/status/1982013824485183586) [@Lahannin](/creator/x/Lahannin) 2025-10-25T09:18Z XXX followers, XXX engagements "Im really not sure how else to explain it. If the idea of quantum computers breaking the cryptography used in hardware wallets across different critical processes doesnt make sense (and again Im not talking about Bitcoin private keys here) then maybe we just agree to disagree. There is no shame in that. But thanks for the questions And sorry that I could not help more" [X Link](https://x.com/Lahannin/status/1982211789916930491) [@Lahannin](/creator/x/Lahannin) 2025-10-25T22:24Z XXX followers, XX engagements "Let's talk about Trezor Safe X and quantum readiness. Im not a cryptographer or a quantum computing expert but I guess I have a basic understanding of the topic (DunningKruger effect much). The main question Ive seen floating around is what quantum-ready architecture actually means and how something can be quantum-ready when we dont yet have real quantum computers. Its true that quantum computers today are not powerful enough to harm Bitcoin crypto or any other industry. But that doesnt mean we should wait until they are. Right now banks governments tech companies and even internet providers" [X Link](https://x.com/Lahannin/status/1982011506980974646) [@Lahannin](/creator/x/Lahannin) 2025-10-25T09:09Z XXX followers, 4311 engagements "When you finally have the time to upgrade your what if home miner (Bitaxe Gamma XXX + Noctua NF-A4x20 5V PWM + 52Pi Ice Tower + ARCTIC MX-6) and fire up your very first Bitcoin node (Raspberry Pi X + Samsung XXX EVO Plus 2TB + Argon ONE V3 M.2 NVMe PCIe)" [X Link](https://x.com/Lahannin/status/1982421202506490218) [@Lahannin](/creator/x/Lahannin) 2025-10-26T12:17Z XXX followers, XXX engagements
