"I also always thought that a community couldn't be forked. There's a catch to this reasoning. Google has a huge network effect and can easily onboard its customers into its chain. Look at what Coinbase did with Base. CEX customers became users of their chain at the expense of Ethereum. Ethereum (or Cardano) can have an amazing community while corporate chains can quickly gain millions of users. What may be difficult for Google and others to replicate is the decentralization and initial coin distribution -building the network and giving up control over it. At the end of the day it will always be the DRep who has to study the proposal search for information communicate with the team etc. I don't know what processes can be streamlined so that the DRep doesn't have to do this. Some DReps become points of contact. People write to DReps with questions with a request for clarification of some decisions with various accusations with a request to look at something because they voted YES for a given proposal etc. At least that's my experience.
