The Big XX and SEC are completely bastardizing the sport with national super conferences slowly turning college football into a reskinned version of the NFL (along with zero NIL rules/enforcement). Notre Dame is the one premier college football brand actually trying to preserve tradition in the sport and all people do is whine about it. "Been saying it forever too much of the Notre Dame beat is complete trash. Some of them are just dumb. Others have no connection to the university or football program and it shows in the way they report on the team. Im not saying our beat reporters should be blatantly dishonest and be making totally absurd arguments (e.g. Notre Dame should be in contention for a bye). There are times where FAIR criticism is more than warranted (e.g. when we actually lost to Marshall and NIU in PAST seasons). However they should not be actively disparaging the team and university by bringing up NIU and Marshall"
