But at the same time I also see that Jensen Huang & @NVIDIA are very focused on developing a world leading software and compute hardware development ecosystem for general purpose robotics which is also the long term application that AI5 AI6 etc. are targeting. So my concern isn't that Tesla won't develop AI5 on a timeline where it will be useful to the company. I believe that @elonmusk & @Tesla will absolutely continue to develop in house inference compute and that they'll make good use of it. But I am concerned that their vertically integrated"

"For Robotaxi I agree. But I don't think we need 10x - 40x more performance out of AI5 than AI4 for Robotaxi software. If Robotaxi design criteria were the governing criteria for AI5 I think the design would have been locked some time ago. My reading of the tea leaves is that most of the extra performance that they're trying to squeeze into AI5 is for Optimus and in that use case it will be going head to head with the specific design intent of @NVIDIA's general purpose robotics chips & software platforms"
