"In my opinion a big part of the reason we are seeing a gradual increase in category X hurricanes the last XX years is the same reason we report more and more tornadoes each year. Simply because we have better technology and more accurate data. This is not a climate change denying post just one that disagrees with using the argument of "these strong hurricanes and destructive tornadoes are becoming more common look at the stats" to try and prove how destructive climate change is and or will be"

A few reminders from someone who travels across the country chasing these events all winter. - Warm ground temperatures mean nothing when snowfall rates are 1-2+ inches per hour the snow will have no issues accumulating. - Lake effect bands are extremely narrow X miles can be the different between X inches of snow and X feet. - Its nearly impossible to predict precisely where the band will set up longest as very subtle wind shifts over the lake can swing the"
