Finally around 11:20 AM ORB high failed but given how choppy the morning was I wasnt comfortable taking it so I sat on my hands happily. Selloff was messy with scattered candles and with high premiums from elevated $VIX it wasn't for me. The clean move came at the 12:15PM failed retest of Ext-2 and drop to yesterdays support. "#TradeJournal In PM noticed a pennant forming on $SPY around 7am holding steady near $XXXXX. It break above pushed it toward $XXX. Market opens 15min ORB formed. Price broke up out of it but hit resistance at an anchor from Wednesday. The retest of the ORB high failed and price turned choppy eventually drifting back toward the ORB low. This is where my focus kicked in. Yesterday I mentioned watching $VIX XX that same level came into play again today. We rejected it early and around 11:25am both VIX and price started hesitating.
