I don't know what training Twitchcon staff went through but it is clearly not enough and not appropriate for the situations they're in. I'm furious that the staff could be so casual about this. "Depending on what the requirements are they may have met that by having security checkpoints and a ratio of x amount of con staff/security for xxxx amount of attendees. It's hard to say. With the reach my post got I can't encourage people to dogpile action as that would be against Twitter ToS. But what I can encourage is for everyone to make their voices heard in an honest way through whatever means they feel is appropriate or necessary. Our feedback as entertainers attendees viewers etc. matters and should be heard by the company. People's lives were at risk and I fear that we're going to be"

Legal action negative surveys and being LOUD about how unhappy and dissatisfied will make them listen even if it takes longer than we'd like. "For a convention like Twitchcon where there is a large and known issue of parasocial and creepy/innappropriate/dangerous behavior the person/s managing the security coordination and staff training should have had several years of training and drilled into the staff's head that anyone not taking this seriously would be sent home and banned from the venue. "So ironically I DID order the squares but with the purpose of reducing echo/reverb. I was researching for hours and reading reviews before purchasing a set with good reviews and a good economical price. I've bought some weathering strips to line my window with once I clean my living room a bit and I've installed a door sweep thing to block noise coming in the bottom crack. I'll keep those in mind I think I saw something along those lines while searching already Definitely another avenue to search. I have a black out curtain I'm hoping to install soon too. "So I have seen booths implementing a split line like the one you mentioned and the limited entrances and it works really well. In fact I actually got to go to a signing for one of my favorite actors of all time as an attendee at a different con and that was pretty close to the set up they had for his photo ops and signings. Since they used curtained partitions to block the exact place where he was they had a giant sign with his face on it so people knew where he was. The signing line was very zig-zaggy and had multiple barriers between it and the next line over and it was extremely difficult"

"I actually wound up talking about this a bit in my stream today and this part really infuriates and upsets me. I have mobility issues. Due to an accident in 2021 I have to walk with a cane when I'm on my feet for a long time or else I have incredible pain. It's already hard enough to work. Without cons having ADA/Medical accommodations I probably wouldn't be able to attend them anymore. And I get Twitchcon is somewhat more of a networking con than a con for swag and enjoyment like others but still. "Some men also got roofied at a previous Twitchcon which is absolutely horrible and DISGUSTING. In the end harassment needs to stop for ALL creators and attendees and staff no matter gender orientation race etc. The suppression of men being harassed is another issue that needs to be addressed. I think a great example of harassment against men that was handled beautifully and showcases how people don't take it seriously was the Gaston actor at Disney. The woman who touched him without consent didn't even get 'what she did wrong' and while many applauded him for standing up for his boundaries"
