"The biggest problems in improving Ethiopia-Eritrea relations include: 🔹 Many Eritreans especially Higdef members are uneducated; even though there is no university in Eritrea. 🔹 The government primarily conscripts young Eritreans into military service rather than facilitating their education. 🔹 There is only one television channel owned by the government which consistently promotes war-mongering content. 🔹 The people do not practice democracy as there are no elections no free press and no opposition parties.
