"Positive news for farmers. Finally after X very difficult years Govt of Pakistan has approved Rs3500/maund support price for wheat crop in next year. Farmers had to sell wheat as low as Rs1900/maund due to oversupply in the market in 2025. This will encourage farmers to grow wheat and improve Pakistan's food security"

"Positive development for Gas sector. SNGPL has allowed private Gas distributor 35mmcfd gas to be supplied in the private market. This will help reducing the surplus of gas available in the system alogwith providing industries with reasonably priced gas. Due to low gas demand local gas fields were being forced to reduce their production in In last few months almost $500Mn LNG equivalent local gas production has been curtailed and we all know local gas is XX% cheaper than imported LNG ✅✅"

"The MDR Abolishment Another major development came in late 2024 that helped NBP a lot: the State Bank abolished MDR (Minimum Deposit Rate) on non-individual accounts. Earlier banks were required to pay interest rate minus XXX% to all savings account holders. But when interest rates were rapidly falling sometimes the official rate would be XX% but banks were lending to the government for X or X months at XX% (instead of 13%) expecting future cuts. In such situations banks were forced to pay out more on deposits than they earned. To fix this SBP removed the requirement for non-individual"
