"I don't really think that effects my opinion of democracy. Now whe only party ever wins I think there is more to be worried about. Though not so much from electoral unfairness but from the corrupting influence of a lack of competition. It's really hard to see how this could spark a civil war when the Democrats just moderating on social issues would give them the win. Is the idea here that death is better than moderation"
