"where is this money coming from If it's coming from the businesses that are doing business then that means in the limit all of their income is taken from them to give back to them. So if we take X% of their profits one year and redistribute it as UBI then the next year there is only X% of what they made last year available to them as income which means they will have to stop producing because they can't afford to produce anymore. leading to a communist type crash. also UBI is basically communism"

"unfortunately I think there is a very real likelihood that UBI will become a thing. I believe that the transition to AI in the near term will replace enough of the lower IQ people that there will be a lot of civil unrest because they will not be able to find a job and by extension survive especially once humanoid robots are working . a significant quantity of higher IQ people will still be able to retain a job long enough that most companies won't feel the pressure from a drop in their customer base due to the cost of production decreasing. Further down the road I think AI will ultimately"
