The "bedtime story" was told that you needed these massive XXX sq. Meter arrays for it to work. SpaceX has it working on a X sq. Meter array. What will AST position be when SpaceX introduces VOLTE Voice services and then higher speed Data services using the same X sq. Meter arrays ASTs solution due to lack of higher technology is to just make the array huge. That is one solution but at an overall cost that is 100s x more expensive to deploy"

This was developed by Qualcomm so that a Globalstar user terminal could determine country boundaries for service availability.
