"@TheBrilliantBu1 i'm also subscribed to the FIRE mentality. that's why i place the ROTH IRA above the 401k. there are ways to withdraw from a 401k early without tax penalty but like you said you'd need to deal with the IRS. do whatever works for you. i prefer the "FI" portion"
