"high rates can be a bit frustrating as a borrower (I know I am one at times) but it's simply a result of supply & demand. Unfortunately Cardano is short on stablecoin supply and high on demand so rates can jump up when people are feeling bullish. They've come down significantly with many repayments and liquidations taking place over the last few weeks. With this is mind the system is working as intended higher rates attract more liquidity and attracting more liquidity brings rates down.
