However their mistake is in not attempting to keep us on at clients. Why not reach out Set new order limits or up the commissions. Cutting a base of 7fig/year clients who could easily become 8-9 fig individuals in the next 10-30 years without even attempting to keep them on in some modified fashion is a real business mistake. I have seen plenty of executive level corporate leadership make horrible decisions in my life. (pretty sure they just marked our accounts toxic and started routing them direct to market instead) I think some of the penny guys churning mega size were still getting some improvement BUT I rarely received this type of fill these days. The real advantage for us still on Schwab was being able to churn millions of shares and only pay $XX in commissions. Even accounting for penny runners skewing the share counts I do believe overall liquidity has increased significantly. (system guys pls confirm $ vol traded) However at the same and surprising to some competition for liquidity has hit an all time high. It is the most competitive small cap market ever and I don't see that changing. Honestly I thought I was safe at this point because most of my peers had got the ban already and I do a lot less frequent scalping than them. This will absolutely diminish my small cap scalping abilities but thankfully I have been transition into large caps where advantaged fills and low commissions is really a non factor. +$22k this week $16k of which was from large caps.
