"oh i do im a butcher by trade. its just that price per kilo for beef shank is like nothing ive ever seen before its exceptionally high. traditionally osso bucco would be veal which is of course much more money (still not that much tho damn i thought i was expensive). im in expensive part of UK and beef shank on bone is about 12/kilo with veal closer to XX. Was just wondering why they would label it such although iirc osso bucco does just translate to bone with hole so its still true were all in different parts of the world though prices vary. i was just shocked thats all im sure itll taste"
