"@adam3us @Excellion @NickSzabo4 @satflation @jabulanijakes @BitMEXResearch @giacomozucco This whole exercise has been a risk assessment for me anyway. I see less to no risk in filters harming scaling decentralization & censorship resistance while I see way more risks in Bitcoin changing into a data storage platform and people apologizing for it too"

"The weirdest flex in the Spam Wars I've seen so far. Instead of sending the Ordinals Runes Stamps etc spammers to Ethereum where they belong now the filterboys like me who are defending Bitcoin as money-only platform have to move there Weird lol"

"@BitcoinEsVe My Raspberry Pi node hosts a full blockchain. It receives blocks from miners and verifies them. When I and my fellow nodes reject a mined block the miner of it is fucked because he forked off. This is not rocket science Draco"

"@taipancapital @14g23h34 @adam3us @nilskp @LukeDashjr @BitMEXResearch @Excellion @NickSzabo4 @zamir591582 @satflation @jabulanijakes @ToneVays We certainly disagree and very firmly even. Because literally no one is censoring native Bitcoin financial transactions. We are filtering contamination and that has NOTHING to do whatsoever with censorship. That's just a lame excuse to avoid addressing data spam"

"@baclfoo @HashBalls23 @_DavidSFreeman @NickSzabo4 It's not difficult. A native Bitcoin financial transaction doesn't need arbitrary data because it is simply a Bitcoin transaction from user A to user B. Everything else is spam unless proven otherwise. Miners using the Coinbase text field is pretty well defined also"

"@baclfoo @wk057 @Du_Bi_Bo @adam3us @mpenagar @cguida @jimmysong @Exellion @GrassFedBitcoin @LukeDashjr @ToneVays Teaching people like you that arbitrary data doesn't belong in Bitcoin and that it's also a good idea to filter before arbitrary data enters the blockchain is part of the mission. Unfortunately there are a few people like you who apologize for data spam instead of fight it"

"@baclfoo @wk057 @Du_Bi_Bo @adam3us @mpenagar @cguida @jimmysong @Exellion @GrassFedBitcoin @LukeDashjr @ToneVays What you don't seem to grasp is that running filters is also part of consensus. It's running software with adjustable settings just like running protocol rules with adjustable settings. When there would be majority consensus for filters there would have been less data spam"

"@mpenagar @baclfoo @wk057 @Du_Bi_Bo @adam3us @cguida @jimmysong @Exellion @GrassFedBitcoin @LukeDashjr @ToneVays It's literally in the Bitcoin whitepaper. It refers to voting for the longest chain to maintain: miners vote for the chain to create blocks for all nodes then vote for the chain to add the block to. PoW is a X step process: creating & verifying. Both steps involve voting"

"Bad take by @notgrubles. PirateBay has been taken down several times over the years in 2014 even so hard that the founders (who all have been doing jailtime) thought they wouldn't come back. Bitcoin will not be Reserve Currency with such legacy and reputation"

"@baclfoo "what does that mean" It means that you've helped the Bitcoin network with another 100000 nodes to be more secure faster & you gave 100000 more reasons to the miners to not go rogue. Especially when your nodes are related to exchanges payment processors and data services"
