I just read new research showing IonQ ran a high-entanglement workload that actually matters.
They used their system to solve the Poisson equation which is a core problem in physics that shows up in electrostatics, fluid flow, and diffusion. What stood out to me is that they ran deep, error-mitigated circuits with meaningful entanglement on real hardware. That's not easy. That's execution with control.
It's also a reminder that IonQ is not only adding more qubits. They're showing the full system (hardware, algorithms, runtime) can handle real workloads where entanglement isn't the obstacle, it's the point.
This is how platforms earn the right to run serious science and mission-critical work. They prove it, one integrated execution at a time.
