"Start here. Quantum is more than another way to compute. It's a way to build trust directly into how work gets done and how it gets paid for. IonQ is laying the groundwork for what I call the Runtime Economy. Here's how it works ๐Ÿงต X For a long time computing was sold in a few predictable ways: Renting time Reserving capacity Charging per transaction That model is changing. In the future it's simpler: โœ… You prove an outcome. โœ… You enforce trust. โœ… You earn revenue when the work is actually done. X IonQ's platform brings together three things no one else has in one system: ๐Ÿ”น Trusted Compute"

"๐Ÿ” Patent Alert IonQ just got a new patent on how to prep barium ions for quantum operations. It's important because barium helps make quantum gates faster and more reliable. Less noise fewer errors better control over entanglement. That's exactly what you need if you're trying to scale quantum systems that actually work in the real world. This patent strengthens IonQs move toward ultrafast gate architectures which is the backbone of their Tempo system and part of how they plan to hit X million qubits by 2030. It's not headline-grabbing. But it's the kind of foundational work that gives IonQ"

"I think IonQ made a very smart move. They tapped one of the most capable quantum hardware teams in the world. Emergence Quantum is a 20-person lab led by ex-Microsoft leaders like David Reilly and Thomas Ohki. These guys built cryo-control systems quantum ASICs and hybrid architectures before most people even knew what those terms meant. Now they're working with IonQ. This isn't a grant or a research handshake. It's real product acceleration. They're helping IonQ reduce hardware complexity and scale fidelity in ion trap systems. It also plants IonQ in Australia which has deep physics talent"

"@prodorpoke ๐Ÿ˜‚ This is amazing. I'm going to start using "Berluti knots" as my official excuse for everything. Thanks for the laugh"

"Three new academic papers just came out and they all use IonQ's hardware in really interesting ways: X One team used a quantum machine learning method to reconstruct quantum states using just classical measurement data. It ran on IonQ's system and hit 90%+ fidelity. That's a big step for practical scalable QML (Quantum Machine Learning). X Another group tested the foundations of quantum physics by violating the Leggett-Garg inequality using weak noninvasive measurements. Again run on IonQ hardware. That's high-trust science on commercial devices. X And in a completely different domain"

"I just read new research showing IonQ ran a high-entanglement workload that actually matters. They used their system to solve the Poisson equation which is a core problem in physics that shows up in electrostatics fluid flow and diffusion. What stood out to me is that they ran deep error-mitigated circuits with meaningful entanglement on real hardware. That's not easy. That's execution with control. It's also a reminder that IonQ is not only adding more qubits. They're showing the full system (hardware algorithms runtime) can handle real workloads where entanglement isn't the obstacle it's"

"IonQ has officially acquired Capella Space. The plan is to build the first space-based quantum key distribution network so encryption keys can move securely between satellites and the ground. This is the first step toward a real quantum internet"

"A new paper on quantum sensing makes one thing clear. It's not about more sensors. It's about coordinating them. That takes memory sync and trust at the system level. IonQ's already building it. Lightsynq + Capella = entanglement sync + orbital routing. That's the stack. That's the moat. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ“ก๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ”—"

"IonQ hiring Rick Muller as VP of Quantum Systems is a big deal. Most people won't recognize the name. But I do and his resume reads like a blueprint for building national-scale systems. Sandia. Caltech. DOE's Quantum Systems Accelerator. Muller has been deep in the intersection of quantum AI and national security for years. To me this says that IonQ is serious about hitting X million qubits by 2030. They're putting the leadership in place to actually pull it off and to deliver systems that commercial and federal buyers will trust in production. More importantly this reinforces a strategic"
