"For those of you not in this part of tech the legacy architecture was built with a bridge that required serializing (stringifying) messages that would be sent between the JavaScript and the native parts of the code which was quite slow and caused a lot of the limitations that weve worked around for XX years. The new architecture on the other hand enables directly calling C++ (and through that Objective-C Java Swift Kotlin) and getting a direct return value with near zero cost.
