"Great question I think dreams are somethhg like spontaneous autoregressive trajectories in the same manifold but 1) without the anchoring of sensory input and 2) without the anchoring of string historical context. So you get a kind of stepwise coherence but it becomes nonsensical over longer periods. This is why you could be underwater one moment and transition to a castle. I think the early video generators where you got these massive semantic discontinuities were very dreamlike literally because they likely were not using longer context . Now I think you are raising an interesting question"
