"@han64compuserve @EricPincus @BleacherReport I don't think he wants to. I think just putting pressure on Lakers to field a competitive team this year which they will. Then next year if they get close (or win) he resigns for one more go-round with the retirement tour and maybe a chip to take home" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-25 20:22:11 UTC 13.7K followers, XX engagements
"@LakerCentral365 I think they can match up well with Denver Houston and OKC so with some breaks here and there they could make the finals and if they do they should be favored unless Cavs make it" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-24 23:42:18 UTC 13.7K followers, XXX engagements
"@iDude14 I'm surprised - he could make more money doing the X year $161m deal with a player option and make about $28m more in last X years of this deal and cost him about another $10m next couple years after. $40m over X years is still $40m" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-24 19:45:23 UTC 13.7K followers, XXX engagements
"@Baldmojito We will know in the spring. If he is not traded in Jan he probably gets extended in April" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-25 19:53:39 UTC 13.7K followers, XX engagements
"Sorry but with new cba it is not viable to have X or X superstars to have long term success. Better to have X superstar X or X stars and multiple good rotation pieces build through the draft and then trade for pieces to supplement that. OKC built their team that way and the Lakers are starting to turn in that direction young athleticly skilled players to build around Luka Austin and some others on the team now. And my team is my team. Will never be other than a Laker fan" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-26 15:28:01 UTC 13.7K followers, XX engagements
"@Klutch_23 Sorry for me right now it is OKC Houston Lakers/Denver. And I wouldn't trade the pick rather give up Dalton & Kleber (or Gabe) for Ayo & Smith with Bulls give them a 2nd with that; that would out us over the top" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-25 18:43:21 UTC 13.7K followers, XXX engagements
"The harsh reality is Lakers are not getting a new superstar so it makes more sense to keep Reaves at his X or X yr 30ish ave salary start stocking up assets to make some trades to get 4-5 guys in the 20-25m range which will surround Austin and Luka with other high end assets then instead of X superstars and a bunch of middle role players have Luka Austin and X or so guys with 18m to 25m contracts to support them. This is pretty much what OKC did to build their team the way it is now (Indy kind of did the same thing.) Look at Houston; they are doing it and made one trade for KD and they are a" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-26 00:10:41 UTC 13.7K followers, XX engagements
"@PlayoffKaden I don't think any chance Lakers trade with Miami for Wiggins before December or January at earliest. So I feel that starting spot goes to Vando or Smart" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-27 19:34:40 UTC 13.7K followers, 1507 engagements
"@EricPincus @BleacherReport Sorry not going to happen. Lakers have improved enough so they better than Dallas so why would Bron go to them" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-25 19:47:09 UTC 13.7K followers, 1125 engagements
"Disagree because of the depth we have now. Have 9-10 guys who can play decently in main rotation and others to slot in as needed. LeBron not the problem here as he will play a little less anyway so can play harder when in the lineup (33min instead of 35min.) James not getting traded in any universe" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-25 20:15:12 UTC 13.7K followers, XX engagements
"They probably have the framework of a deal in place already Reaves giving a hometown discount and Lakers giving him a X or X year deal with PO at end. Figure 30-32m year for those years. That is why nobody has been talking about it. Rob knows how to keep his mouth shut and so does Austin and his group. He will decline the PO this next summer then sign the new deal in one quick swoop" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-26 00:14:48 UTC 13.7K followers, XXX engagements
"@LALMuse @Sport_Klub_Slo Seems likely the way things line up in US and Europe. Now will he really sign the 4-year $229m extension or the 3-year $161m extension which will cost him about $40m in next X years after the first X years of signing" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-24 19:49:04 UTC 13.7K followers, XXX engagements
"@esidery Your Opinion not mine: Starters: Luka Austin Smart LeBron Ayton 2nd Unit: Rui Vando Kleber Jake Dalton Others: Gabe Hayes Bronny Thiero 2ways: Koloko Manon Lakers better than last year; take the over (52-54.)" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-25 20:06:54 UTC 13.7K followers, 1841 engagements

"@LakersBetter Not at all. Let Russ mess up Sacramento like he did Denver last year. Lakers didn't miss anything" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-28 04:49:50 UTC 13.7K followers, XX engagements
"@Yinoma2001 To get clicks of course. Never going to happen. Bron not getting traded; if Lakers get close to finals he probably resigns for one more year here with retirement tour and maybe a championship in the final chapter" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-25 20:19:17 UTC 13.7K followers, XX engagements
"@Flexxlo @iDude14 I agree wholeheartedly - he appears to be a team player all the time which will make him popular to fans and teammates alike. (I already love his game and how he controls the action.) Plus his has Kobe-like competitiveness which will make him a Laker legend in the future" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-25 17:33:32 UTC 13.7K followers, XX engagements
"@Ralph_MasonJr Guess he feels that last year of security is worth cost of $28m in the last X years of that contract instead of the X year $161m with PO then Super Max for those years. Good for Luka really good for the Lakers" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-24 20:05:59 UTC 13.7K followers, XXX engagements
"This does sound reasonable - he could sign Aug X and go or worst case after Europe he comes home and signs it then. Biggest question is does he sign the 3yr for $161m or the X yr for $266m. Probably the former with a PO for last year then instead of getting $123.8m for his last X years he gets $149.9m those X years plus $278.0m for his last X years. 💥🏆" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-23 20:33:59 UTC 13.7K followers, XXX engagements
"I also think he values security over more money in a longer time frame. Signing the X yr 229m extension over a X yr 161m deal with a player option resign for the supermax over the last X years (10 years of service) will cost Luka $28m over those years. Of course after that he can resign to a supermax deal but $28m is still $28m. Put a few of those deals together and then you could have some real money" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-24 20:14:57 UTC 13.7K followers, XX engagements

"@iztok_franko Saw you on Locked on Lakers today with Andy. Really good analysis on Luka and how he will help the Lakers. Luka signing the X year deal (apparently) will help the Lakers going forward which will only endear him to Laker fans as much as his ability and competitiveness" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-25 18:32:00 UTC 13.7K followers, XXX engagements
"@LakersBetter Agreed except the mvp is such a subjective award I would not count on it. All star starter first team all nba. Maybe top X in Mvp voting more likely and would mean great things for Lakers this year" @bstonercpa on X 2025-07-26 16:04:09 UTC 13.7K followers, XX engagements
