"Rethinking the Currency Debasement = Higher Stocks Narrative Analysts keep saying that global currency debasement is pushing up both gold and stocks. But that logic doesnt really hold up. Currency debasement means governments are letting money lose value through deficits money printing and real rates below inflation. Thats inflationary by definition. And inflation once it takes hold leads to higher interest rates which normally push stock valuations down (since future earnings are discounted at higher rates). So yes debasement may lift gold but it should eventually pressure stocks not boost"
