"I think Fil-C is interesting but don't think it'd a viable replacement for Rust it's memory safety comes with a MASSIVE performance hit that you just don't have to deal with in Rust and the lack of support for the C ABI would also be a pain in the ass I get the wanting to make sure that there are no memory unsafe blocks anywhere but this is ass for interop and I think that Rusts method of just forcing this to be explicit is likely better here C++ is also a far far far far far more complex language than Rust and it's ambiguity and dog ass syntax are I think more likely to cause logic errors"
