"That is a dumb claim. Im a Marine veteran so Im sensitive to taking care of veterans but the original argument that a bank or credit union cant charge an overdraft fee is unlawful. It was an abuse of power by CFPB. The Trump administration corrected that weaponization of power. Overdraft fees are both legal and good policy. If you attempt to take more out of your account than you have a bank is within its rights to charge a fee for that. Being a veteran doesnt exempt you from such a common sense policy especially given that there are options to set up overdraft protection. A credit union like"
