"What are you saying to look for whether something is an axiom you have to look at the given system/domains they're in. Parallel lines never meeting is not an axiom (though in general I get the point you are trying to make non-Euclidian geometry excluded that) but even if that were the case you would still look at the system (geometry) see whether it is unproven whether it would be foundational that is other postulates are built upon it etc there is also a difference between something's grounding and function"

"This does not seem all too different from the usual jazz it's asking for epistemic criteria we would need in order to know that some Fact X is Y if I am not wrong I personally would not take axioms to be unique to this although I am a bit tense to hold the view that axioms are self-evident propositions that require no formal demonstration because I don't think that fits the historical facts of axioms (e.g. ZFC power set etc)but there could be a few methods for this One such case that is actually interesting is Maddy's empirical method for controversial modern axiom candidates as hypotheses"
