"I don't have the figures on hand to dismiss your suggested XXXX% up-time but as long as the protocol stayed operational during this event I'd still argue the dip below $XXX isn't reflective of reality. Assuming there is some down-time in the operation of $DJED which I do not confirm or deny as I do not know the figures well enough: the value of DJED is dictated by the liquidity in the protocol's smart contracts when the protocol is operational and by the value on secondary markets (AMM DEXs included) when the protocol is not operational"

"It did not "dip below $0.5". A lot of people don't realize that the liquidity on DEXs for $DJED doesn't dictate its value. Anyone and everyone can mint and burn $DJED for $ADA natively via the protocol for $0.985-$1.015 24/7 XXX days a year. What the token trades at on secondary markets like AMM DEXs matters very little for $DJED because it's always redeemable for $XXXXX. It's always mintable for $XXXXX as long as the reserve ratio is over 400%"

"This was one thing I loved about your GEMA prices if you apply some form of TWAP but separately for assetA/assetB prices and assetB/assetA prices you mitigate a lot of risk of overly risky positions being created during volatile market events like last Friday. The only caveat is that this is inherently a little less capital efficient for users as their assets are always assumed to be equal or a little less than the value calculated using the regular singular price method"

""The peg" here also refers to the price of $DJED on secondary markets (AMM DEXs). What truly matters is the price of DJED in the protocol. As long as the protocol is accessible 24/7 XXX days a year and the price of $DJED is consistently expressed in a correct ratio denominated in $ADA the peg is held. Lack of holding to the peg on AMM DEXs is simply a show of lack of sufficient arbitrage between those exchanges and the protocol itself which is a market inefficiency that isn't the protocol's responsibility to combat"

"@ClubFak More people using the protocol would not have influenced the peg of $DJED in any way"

"I'm not entirely sure people were selling $DJED for $XXXX on DEXs. I think the primary cause for DJED dropping to $XXXX temporarily on DEXs lies in the fact that $ADA dropped near XX% briefly and DJED is paired with ADA on DEXs so if DJED was worth some amount of ADA and ADA dropped in price even without anything happening in the DEXs themselves until the DJED/ADA exchange-rate rose to a sufficient ratio to ensure it compensated that XX% drop DJED would've been worth less than $X on those exchanges"

"@JayCrypto12 Go mint DJED via youll see theres a fixed XXX% fee rather than a slippage that grows exponentially proportionately to the size of your orders"

"$DJED is indeed not the most capital efficient stablecoin out there due to it requiring a XXX% reserve ratio however the team at IOG is working on making it more capital efficient. $SHEN also has real utility it's not a useless token I think the biggest reason for its lack of adoption which limits $DJED's financial scalability is lack of education and understanding. Most people don't understand how $SHEN works"

"A lot of people dont realize how impressive this is. DJED is a very liquid stablecoin; You can buy and sell it via the protocol directly without need for KYC or middlemen. Liquidity on DEXs doesnt dictate the fair value of DJED it only contributes to it marginally. The fair value of DJED has historically always been $X since the protocol has never once faced a situation in which the token wasnt tradeable for $X worth in $ADA. DJED is also the only stablecoin in the ecosystem that has direct on and off ramps against $ADA"

"The only reason $DJED dropped to $XXXX on DEXs is because there's not enough arbitrage happening organically between the protocol and secondary markets. It's a question of market inefficiency. If more people were engaging in arbitrage (which is quite profitable I must mention) the token would always trade between $XXXXX and $XXXXX on DEXs"
