"To sum up Fed buys all bonds at par converts them to zero coupon perpetuities. No interest income - reduce FFR to zero to avoid significant accounting shortfall (but not necessary). Meanwhile pay own liabilities via money creation. Reset without default. Effects on the Dollar and overall trust in banking system uncertain though. Treasury could also recapitalise the Fed via new debt issuances since all previous debts have been cancelled anyway. Train stopped. New cycle starts. 🙂"
