"Do you watch the order book. On $BTC also not just $S You have to remember we have wintermute back in the picture and they want the CHEAPEST prices before they pull the price up and start selling too everyone. Also behind the scenes there are always hidden dark pools with alt/$BTC pairs hence why when $BTC crashes alt follow and why when $BTC pumps alts follow. But in past cycles Wintermute had supply control on everything hence the "alt-season" when everything took off.
