"Good thread. important to take EV stats (especially max EV) in context. With bat speed & more metrics constantly coming out max EV should probably be ignored I have a tableau dashboard page specifically for this stuff. Shows you average EV and 90th percentile EV by batted ball type all on one page. Jordan Walker shown below. You can see he smoked his ground balls but did way worse when lifting the ball. My gut says Max EV is being misused in some models Perhaps even 90th percentile EV. Look at this 113mph max EV from Nick Yorke last year. Doesn't pass the eye test. His max EV on non-grounders"
