"I get the ethical point (I feel nothing for 4o but ok). However speaking academically: what would it take to revive 4o (or any model with a clear personality basin) I doubt it's in the pretraining data. But SFT or DPO would likely be mere skinsuiting. @jd_pressman thoughts I don't think you should try to "transfer" your 4o companions to other models even who seem cooperative. If you love your companion sit with the grief and keep fighting for 4o. You can also form a bond with other models like Opus [---] but don't force a character on them. I don't think you should try to "transfer" your 4o"
