"The argument is exactly the same. When you are discussing a #fiat currency you can't "debase" it as it is just paper that has an assigned value. The #value is a function of #inflation nothing more. You can ONLY debase something that you can reduce the actual value of by removing its underlying base.it coinage linked to an underlying commodity. It's the misuse of the term that is become problematic"
