The ceasefire collapsed after Hamas fighters fired RPGs and sniper rounds at IDF troops in Rafah killing two soldiers confirmed by both the IDF and the US command centre overseeing the truce. Only then did Netanyahu order air strikes and halt aid. Israel had held to the deal since XX October allowing hundreds of aid trucks in daily. Hamas used that pause to regroup and resume attacks. Whatever you think of Netanyahu it was Hamas that broke the ceasefire not Israeli politics"
