"One thing I got right was sell my hopeless US credit trade about a month ago: I note the BDC's have ben whacked since: my old stalwart $ARCC which I sold at XXX times NAV (I think) now trading below NAV. Similar $PFFA $PDI $PTY $STWD Finally learned the hard way you can only chase yield - if a kiwi - in your own currency on NZX (sadly as such thin pickings) and ASX. The USD swings can wipe a X% pa return and waste a year"
