"European Update:A decent bounce back in $USDCAD but it's still not seeing the volatility other pairs are. This has turned into the $EURGBP of North America. The fairly quick return back above the 1.3720/35 area just solidifies the case that we've found something more than a s/t bottom. However we've only just managed to get through the XXXX of the May leg down and we're still 270-odd pips away from the XXXX of the year's move so we're not out of the woods yet. "European Update:$EURGBP unfazed by the CPI data. Rate expectations changed marginally after the hotter UK CPI. We're roughly at 49bps for the year vs around XX% before the data so we're hovering around the X cut mark. The data was hot and has been trending up for a year now so the pressure remains on the BOE who is facing a weaker economy and higher trending inflation. The worst type of cocktail for a central bank. EURGBP is mooching around the top of the 0.8645/70 zone so remains bullish. As noted in prior updates the 0.8690-0.8720 is a tough old area and that remains the biggest barrier"
