"$sei.v announces acquisition of $ceg.l Challenger Energy with an all-stock transaction. I was not familiar with Challenger but from a quick look I can see the reasoning for combining these companies. Challenger's main assets are in Uruguay. Interestingly in the same area as the Orange Basin before continental drift. AREA OFF-1 XX% non-operating interest with a farmout with Chevron. Chevron is carrying US$35 million of costs if it proceeds with seismic and drilling. Currently they are seeking permits for seismic work expecting to receive the permit in Q4 2025 or Q1 2026. AREA OFF-3 100%"
