"It is not a technology issue it is a scale up CAPEX & regulation issue. BASF used to have mfg in US then closed tech office/mfg & moved East. Annovion/Imerys need the capital & the ROI isn't there. US EPA/OSHA are more expensive & tech time to meet . I've seen Chinese mfg with no respiratory protection for staff. Instead of Anti-dumping they should help with streamlining regulations"
